 Prompt: Chris chooses independence over relationships. When have you chosen to be on your own instead of relying on others? What happened, and would you make the same choice again?


 I have chosen to be on my own instead of working with others when I have to take the initiative to get things done, because nobody else is taking the initiative to get those things done.


Today in class, we read chapter 8 of " Into the Wild " and made questions we had while reading it.


Today I learned about others that the author compares Alex to to somewhat justify or explain what and why Alex does what he does.

A real moment in my life where I felt like it was the beginning of a powerful story is when I started to truly plan my life, what I want to do, and what I can realistically do, and how I can achieve my goals. This felt like a turning point because I gained goals and know what I would like to do. Today in class, we analyzed Dr.King's I Have a dream speach and broke down 1 specific form of rhetoric. I understood today why, in Dr.King's first line, it was a hyperbole.
