Prompt: Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks and spending time with family over a nice dinner.  Write about your most unforgettable meal.  For me, it isn't really me, it's what we are doing before and after the meal, because when we have a meal with my family, usually we spend the day together like a reunion at Thanksgiving, so when I get the food ready, or when we play music or have activites are more memorable to me like when I played a song on the piano after dinner or we played as a band me and my cousin. Today in class, we did the group quiz for The Life You Save May Be Your Own. Today, after doing this blog post, I was inspired and realized that I should edit that video from Thanksgiving last year of all the pictures I took. This blog helped me reflect on Thanksgiving last year.

Prompt: Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier?

Prompt: Write about a time when you realized you needed to look out for yourself in a silly or harmless situation—maybe dodging a pop quiz, escaping a group chat argument, or remembering at the last second to submit an assignment. How did choosing wisely make your life easier? One time in WHAP, I almost forgot to turn in an assignment that I had completed. Still, I never turned it in, and I was outside my house and didn't have my computer. I was like This isn't good. I'd better look out for myself. Luckily, I remembered that I had access to the completed document on Kami, so I was like, "Phew," because I had access to it on my phone, and turning it in made it easier on my life because my grade didn't drop. Today in class, we read the rest of " The Life You Save May Be Your Own,"  and we worked on the discussion question on writable Today I better understood the details of the story, the life you save may be your own. At first, I just thought  It wa...

Prompt: Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

Prompt: Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel? Whenever I see a homeless person, I wonder what led them to be where they are now. Did they mess up, or did they just not care and not realize what not caring would lead to them being where they are now?  Today in class, we read The Life You Save May Be Your Own and went over it as a class and answered some discussion questions about it. Today, while working through the discussion question, we as a class basically worked on how to find the main idea of short passages because the whole class struggled with it on the question about the car.

Prompt: Write about what you are thankful for.

Prompt: Write about what you are thankful for. I am thankful for having food that I can eat every day because some people dont have access to it on a daily basis. Today we worked on the vocabulary lesson 3 in Vocabulary for the College-Bound. I learned about the word scapegoat goat which is the person who takes the blame for a crime.

The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?

The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story? The last scene, where we hear that she has been sleeping with the dead body that she kept in the house, was a shock, but also not because of what she did when her father died. I haven't really had an experience of that level that changes my life or my view on anyone that much the closest things that I have had is as I grew up I learened more about the people that I have known all my life for example my great uncle who I had no idea about I just know that he was the first person in my family to go to collage on my moms side but I learned about what he did and when so I guess it gave me a deeper understanding or shifted my perspective on him. Today in class, we did a quiz over A Rose for Miss emily in groups, and we worked ...

Prompt: In “A Rose for Emily,” Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior?

Prompt:  In  “A Rose for Emily,”  Miss Emily’s actions shock the reader—she kills her fiancé and keeps his body in her home for years. People often react with disbelief when they hear about real-life stories that seem just as unbelievable. Write about the most shocking or “craziest” news story you have ever heard. What happened, and why did it stand out to you? How did people react to it, and what does it reveal about human behavior? The craziest story that I have probably heard that i'm not so sure about was I once heard of this guy who took the wrong pills together and lost his mind, and then he killed his, son and from that point was concerned about what pills I take together, like an allergy with B12 or something like that, so I make sure to search up before I take my medications. Today in class, we finished the story A Rose for Emily and we started doing character analysis on it. Today I gained a deeper understanding of interpreting and analyzing things from a...

Prompt: Miss Emily’s house once represented pride and tradition, but over time it became a symbol of decay and isolation. Describe a place that holds deep memories for you—positive or negative—and explain how it reflects part of who you are or how you’ve changed over time.

Prompt: Miss Emily’s house once represented pride and tradition, but over time it became a symbol of decay and isolation. Describe a place that holds deep memories for you—positive or negative—and explain how it reflects part of who you are or how you’ve changed over time. A place that holds deep memories for me is my house, because I grew up there and all of my significant memories are there with my family throughout my life. Today in class, we read A Rose for Emily and discussed it for a bit in class. I understood from the story Ms. Emily's past and why she is in the situation that she is like how the poeple in the viligars think she is poor but in reality if you own a house you have money because the house is worth money.

Prompt: Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better.

Prompt: Think about the vocabulary words from Lesson Two. Write about a time you saw or heard one of these words outside of the classroom — maybe in a movie, song, social media post, or book. Describe how it was used and whether the context helped you understand the word better. Two words that I have heard out of this ELA class were I heard about the word consommé when I was doing research for a French project, and it had food mentioned in i., and I heard of the word and also the word serendipity, which is a Laufey song, which helped me understand what it means a bit better. Today in class, we went over the vocab lesson 2, and we worked on our presentations about the rockpile. Today I learned about the word vestige, which means a trace or evidence.

Thinking about “The Rockpile,” which parent or guardian in your life has been the strictest when it comes to discipline? Explain how their approach to discipline has influenced you or shaped your behavior.

Thinking about  “The Rockpile,”  which parent or guardian in your life has been the strictest when it comes to discipline? Explain how their approach to discipline has influenced you or shaped your behavior. My mom is the strictest person who raised me, and it has influenced me to be a better person who cares more about my academics We read the story and worked on the PowerPoint presentation for the rockpile I learned about the rockpile and the communities that live in public houseing.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule. Something that I was forbidden from as a kid was going and biking about the neighborhood alone. I was only allowed to go from home to school till I was about 8. This was probably because I wasn't very good at biking until about that age, so it wasn't safe for me to go out on my own, especially with my chances of falling. Today in class, we read the rockpile and talked about what it meant, as well as watching some videos about it/similar places. Today I learned what public housing is and the reason that the Atlanta area can go from very nice to not good from block to block because the public housing went away.

Words shape how we think, write, and interpret literature. Think about a time when learning a new word or understanding a specific term helped you better analyze a text, express an idea, or make your writing stronger. A time that I learnt a new word was in 4th grade and the word was mimic and then the same week that I learned the word I heared somene use it at track and i gained a better understanding of what it meant by seeing them mimic the expresstion they were talking about which helped me understand the word better and i used it in one of my apwh dbq last year today in class we went over lesson one of level 12 vocab  I learned today what the word truncate means which is to shorten.
